Using Search: characters, props, templates, icons and images in one placeOne search box in the canvas toolbar finds scene templates, characters, props, icons and stock photos. Characters

Customizing charactersAdd a character with Character in the left toolbar. To edit it, select it, then click it once more. You can change its hair, face, clothes and pose, turn its head and body, and save it as an element to use again.Overview Adding your own charactersCreate an Element under Characters with up to ten photos or generated images, a name and a visual description. Then place it in any shot, mention it in the script, and let Tribe AI keep it consistent.Task Changing a character's look and colorsCharacters are black-and-white line art: swap their hair, face, clothes and pose in the character editor. There is no color to change; for a character in color, use Tribe AI.Concept Character library diversityStoryTribe characters are customizable. How to use ElementsElements is your reusable cast, locations, props and styles: a library that lives with your account (or your workspace), feeds the Story Bible, powers @mentions in the script, and keeps Tribe AI consistent.Overview

Canvas tools

Alignment snappingAs you move or resize, blue guides appear when an edge or centre lines up with the canvas or another object, and the object snaps to it. Shift constrains movement to straight lines and 45°.Concept Editing text on the canvasPress T to add a text box, double-click it to type, and style it in the Text panel. Text inside a shape or speech bubble has more choices: any font, any color, and bold, italic and underline.Task Layers panelThe Layers tab in the side panel lists every object on the shot, top layer first. Drag to restack, click the padlock or eye to lock or hide, double-click to rename, right-click for more.Task Sketch on the canvasPress P and draw straight onto the shot. Ink comes in Inertia, Normal, Dashed and Dotted styles with width, color and opacity controls, and every stroke stays its own object to move, restyle or delete.Task
