Understanding AI credits

What uses credits

• Generating an image with Tribe AI, at the cost shown next to the model; No background option adds the background-removal cost.
• Magic Edit's AI operations: Remove BG, Expand, Retouch, Magic erase, Angle, Lighting, Split into layers.
• Generating element images and the frames the AI start draws with Generate shots.

Where credits come from

Each plan includes a monthly allowance (the amounts are on the pricing page). Monthly credits reset on your billing date and do not roll over. Paid plans can buy top-up packs, which don't expire while the paid plan is active. On Studio, credits are pooled per seat for the whole workspace, and a workspace project always spends the workspace's pool, never your personal credits.

Seeing your balance

The coin chip in the editor header (AI credits. Click to get more.), the Tribe AI footer (Credits: 1,240), and Settings › Billing › AI credits, which also shows the workspace pool with its renewal date. Your AI history records the credits each generation used.

Running out

When a generation would cost more than you have, the app stops and offers the way forward: upgrade plans and top-ups, or for a workspace, the workspace owner can top up. Nothing else in the app is blocked; you can keep drawing, writing and exporting.
