Per-person overrides

Give one workspace member a different level from the rest: add them by name in Share project and pick a level. The override beats the workspace default until you remove it.

  1. Open the workspace project, click Share and start typing the member's name in Add people by email. Workspace members appear as suggestions with their role and set project access.
  2. Select them, choose a level in the dropdown (it starts at Can view) and click Add.
  3. They get their own row under Who has access. Change the level there any time, or choose Remove override to put them back on the workspace default.

Typical uses

  • Most people view, a few edit. Leave the workspace default at Can view and give the people who edit an override of Can edit.
  • A confidential project. Set the workspace default to No access and add overrides only for the people who need it.
  • Someone should stop editing but keep reading. Give them a Can view override instead of removing their access.
