Access levels explained: Can edit, Can comment, Can view, No access

• Can edit: full editing, including AI generation. Their changes sync live with yours.
• Can comment: read-only, with commenting. They can open every view, download and present, and leave comments; they can't change anything.
• Can view: read-only. Same as above without comments.
• No access: hidden from their dashboard entirely. Opening the link shows You don't have access to this project.

How a person's level is decided

The creator always has edit access. For everyone else the app checks, in order: a personal override on this project, then the project's default (on a workspace project, the level set for Everyone at your workspace), then nothing. Guests invited by email are always Can comment. People arriving through Anyone with the link get whatever the link allows: view or comment.

Who can change levels

The project's creator, or a workspace Owner or Admin. Anyone else sees the levels as plain text with the note Only the project's creator or a workspace admin can change who this is shared with.

What's free and what needs Studio

Viewing and commenting are free for everyone: a guest costs nothing. Editing together is part of Studio: an editor joins your workspace and uses a seat. On a personal project the Share dialog shows Edit together with your team with a See plans button for exactly this reason.
