AI image request failed

A red message after Generate means the request didn't produce an image. The wording tells you which kind: capacity, content moderation, or an unknown error. Credits are not charged for a failed request.

Symptom

The tray tile says Failed and a red toast appears for a few seconds, sometimes with a Learn why link that opens this page.

Cause and fix, by message

  • "Service unavailable due to high demand. Try another model or retry." The model's provider is busy. Wait a minute and click Generate again, or switch model in the Model menu; the other model usually goes through.
  • "The input or output was flagged as sensitive. Adjust your prompt." or "That request was blocked by content moderation." The provider's safety filter refused either your words, a reference image, or what it started to draw. Common triggers in storyboards: violence and weapons described graphically, nudity, real public figures, children in unsafe situations, and gore. Reword toward what the frame needs to show (the aftermath, the reaction, an implied action), describe people generically, and remove references that show the same. Genre scenes are fine; explicit detail is what trips it.
  • "We're unable to generate an image based on your prompt." An unclassified error. Retry once; if it repeats, simplify the prompt, drop reference images one at a time, and check your connection.

If it keeps failing

Send support the exact message, the prompt, the model and the time. Failed requests don't consume credits; if your balance dropped without an image, say so and it will be checked.
