Export your script (PDF, Word, text, Final Draft, Fountain)

1. Click Share, then the Download tile, and pick the Screenplay layout (Script only, screenplay formatted. No images).
2. Choose a format: Fountain, Final Draft, PDF, docx or txt. The panel shows the filename (your project title) and a note on what the format keeps.
3. For Final Draft, tick Preserve my shot breakdown if the file will come back into StoryTribe; leave it off for a standard screenplay file.
4. Click Export. Script exports are never watermarked and work on every plan.

What each format carries

• PDF: headings, action and dialogue in standard screenplay layout. It includes a title page if you've filled in Script details, and scene numbers in the margins if Scene numbering is Manual. Dual dialogue is stacked, not side by side. Notes, scene descriptions and shot properties are left out.
• Final Draft (.fdx): title page, scene numbers, scene descriptions as scene summaries, transitions, dual dialogue, and shot properties as script notes. Colours and highlights drop.
• Fountain: the same as Final Draft in plain-text form, with sections as # headings; right-aligned lines become centred.
• Word (.docx): keeps every text style including colour and highlight; no images.
• Text (.txt): words only, with headings and cues in capitals and sung lines marked ♪.

Omitted shots export as OMITTED in Final Draft and Fountain and are skipped in the PDF. For the pictures, export a storyboard layout instead.
