Anyone with the link: off, can view, or can comment

The Anyone with the link row in Share project decides what a person who isn't listed can do with the project link: nothing, view it, or view and comment.

Last updated Aug 29, 2026

  1. Open the project, click Share and find the Anyone with the link row at the bottom of Who has access.
  2. Pick a level: Off (only people listed above can open this project), Can view (anyone with the link can view), or Can comment (anyone with the link can view and comment; commenting requires log in).
  3. Click Copy link and send it. The link opens the project in the editor, read-only, without an account for viewing.

This link goes to the live project, so people always see the current state and can never edit.

A published, unlisted page is a different thing: a read-only share page of one format on its own short link. Use link access to let someone follow the work; publish to present it.

Troubleshooting

  • They can view but the comment button says Sign in to comment. Commenting through the link needs a free account so the comment has a name on it.
  • The link says they don't have access. The row is Off. Set it to Can view or Can comment, or invite them by email.
