Images or thumbnails are not loading

Most blank images fix themselves within a few seconds. A thumbnail you just edited can take a moment to catch up, and on a published page, images can take a moment to appear after the project owner makes changes.

What to try, in order

1. Wait a few seconds. Thumbnails retry on their own after an edit.
2. Reload the page. This fixes images in a tab that has been left open for a long time.
3. Check your browser. Ad blockers, privacy extensions, and Brave's Shields can block the servers StoryTribe loads images from (cloudfront.net and imagedelivery.net). Try a private window with extensions off, or another browser from the supported list.
4. On a published page, look for the Project updating... pill at the top of the page. Images stay blank while the latest changes are being prepared. Give it a minute, then reload.
5. In the editor, if a project takes longer than 30 seconds to load you will see Loading is taking longer than expected. Choose Refresh page, or Continue to keep waiting.
