On the Create page, describe your idea or a scene, and AI writes a script from it, splits it into scenes and shots, and finds the characters, locations and props in it.

Step 1: describe the story

  1. Pick a visual style from Choose a look (or click All styles for the full list).
  2. Type your idea or a scene into the box. On desktop the Try: chips fill in a sample.
  3. Click Break it down →. A full-screen Creating your project screen runs through reading your idea, writing the script, shaping your scenes and gathering your elements.

Step 2: check the draft

  1. The project opens with a bar across the top. Give it a title, and set Aspect ratio (16:9, 1:1, 9:16, 4:3, 3:4, or Custom on paid plans), Model and Style for the images.
  2. The Elements strip fills as the cast is found. Read the script in the Script view and edit anything you like; edits keep the project a draft.
  3. The credit meter at the bottom shows what generating will cost against your balance.
  4. Generate shots creates an AI image for each shot and keeps going in the background while you work. If there are more than 10 shots, it generates the first 10. View project keeps the script and cast and opens the normal editor with empty shots for you to build.

About Draft projects

Until you click View project or Generate shots, the project is a Draft. It shows a Draft label in your project list, always reopens the draft, and can't be shared or published. Nothing is lost by leaving it as a draft.

Troubleshooting

  • "The script came back empty. Please try again." or "Could not build your project. Please try again." The AI generation step failed; click Break it down again. If it keeps failing with the same text, try a shorter or clearer description.
  • Not enough credits to generate. Generate shots opens the buy-credits dialog instead of generating. You can still choose View project and build shots by hand.
