Print a storyboard

StoryTribe has no print button. Export a PDF, then print it from your PDF viewer. The storyboard layouts come out A4 landscape, so pick the layout before you print.

Paper and orientation

  • The storyboard layouts. One shot per page, Storyboard 3 per page and Grid overview all produce A4 landscape pages. On US Letter paper, choose Fit to page in your print dialog.
  • Images only. Each page is the size of the frame itself, so set your printer to fit the page.
  • The screenplay PDF. US Letter, portrait.
  • The shot list PDF. A4 landscape, with the columns scaled to fit the width.
  • Scenes. When your project uses scenes, each scene opens with its own title page, and a scene that starts a section gets a chapter page before it.

Which layout for what

  • Client review or a table read: One shot per page.
  • Crew handout or a wall: Storyboard, 3 per page.
  • A quick overview with no text: Grid overview.
