Can I use it to animate?

Currently, StoryTribe is focused on professional storyboarding and does not offer animation capabilities. However, we are considering adding animation features in future updates, based on user feedback and demand.

Do you offer a free educational plan?

Yes, we offer education plans primarily through schools, although not to individuals directly. Currently, we are conducting pilot programs with selected schools. As we have already reached capacity for our pilot program, we are not currently accepting new applications. However, if you wish to join the waitlist, please send an email to edu@storytribeapp.com with the following information: Your name, your work email address, phone number, your school's name, your position within the school, intended use cases, and expected number of users.

What file formats are supported for exporting my storyboard?

StoryTribe allows you to export your storyboard in both PNG and JPG formats. Additionally, you have the option to choose between 1x and 2x sizes, giving you the flexibility to select the resolution that best suits your needs.

Can we play around with shot angles? For example, overhead shots.

StoryTribe currently focuses on flat, forward-facing characters. We are in the process of implementing backward-facing characters, but as of now, varying shot angles like overhead views are not available.

Can I add my own characters?

No, but you can copy and paste your own images into the StoryTribe canvas, including your own characters. We plan to enhance this feature in future updates to provide more flexibility and customisation options for your characters.

Currently, we are running a pilot program for organisations which require a minimum of 20 user accounts. Can I represent characters with dark skin colour?

Currently, we do not offer options to choose a specific colour for the skin. We deliberately made this choice to maintain the simplicity of the illustrations in a line drawing style. However, we will consider adding this option if there is high demand from users. Nonetheless, we do offer hairstyles that represent diverse cultures and plan to introduce more options in the future.

Can I purchase a commercial license to sell the content I create using StoryTribe?

Yes, you can. However, the pricing will vary depending on your specific use cases and the number of illustrations you plan to use.
